Commercial Solar

Commercial solar is the wave of the future--and many business owners are already enjoying the benefits of their own independent, renewable energy supply. Start with a free source of energy--unlike electricity from PG&E--and you are already ahead of the game. The sun directs vast amounts of energy at the earth every day. Human beings are really just now taking advantage of this bonanza.

Solar modules are virtually maintenance-free systems. Rain cleans each solar panel sufficiently so that no other care is needed. The modules have a 25-year warranty, and a life expectancy of 40 years!

Cost Estimation

The California Energy Commission (CEC) has a cost estimating program for use by businesses and homeowners who are considering photovoltaic solar systems. Simply go online to the CEC's Website and plug in the required information. You will need either a copy of your electric bill, or your rate schedule; total estimated cost of the solar system you selected; annual cost of your electricity; some thoughts about financing.

Keep in mind that the state rebates and tax credits will be progressively reduced, and the tax credit is scheduled to end on January 1, 2006. Already, modifications have been made that are the result of the energy and fiscal problems of the state government. Stay current on the financial aspects of acquiring a commercial solar system by consulting the CEC's website.
