Solar For Businesses

Solar for businesses is no different in its function than residential solar systems. Both consist of photovoltaic (PV) systems that use solar modules, or panels, that convert sunlight into electricity. An inverter transforms the direct current produced by the modules into the alternating current required by your building's conventional electrical system.

Simple and effective. With no moving parts, solar for businesses is also virtually maintenance-free, durable, and quiet. Once installed, there is nothing in the system to require oiling, cleaning, or replacing. Rain usually does an effective job of cleaning. The modules are guaranteed for 25 years, but they have a life expectancy of 40 years.

Using Solar is Environmentally Responsible

Besides dramatically cutting your electricity bill and being unobtrusive and trouble-free, solar systems can have far-reaching effects on California and the earth. A 5-kilowatt (kW) system prevents production of 11,323 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) in one year alone. Obviously, usage of solar power reduces the load on the PG&E power grid; we recently saw what can happen to aging power systems and lines when things went wrong on the East Coast and outages spread like wildfire through several states.

Solar energy is clean and renewable. Every day the sun provides the basis for unlimited numbers of solar systems that can produce electricity independent of these grids. Energy from sunshine is free and is not detrimental to human beings, animals--or the earth. In fact, the sun is the basis for all life on this planet; now, it can be the foundation of the power necessary for our homes and businesses.
