Audio Visual Presentation SystemsWritten by Nicholas Kamuda Audio visual presentation systems are widely used by people in many different professions, from organizers of community functions to world-traveling businesspeople. Simple presentation systems consist of little more than a media player or laptop connected to some kind of display. Larger audio visual presentation systems may incorporate high-powered projectors, speaker systems, and complex audio setups. Small LCD screens or computer monitors are capable of displaying most business graphics at an acceptable quality level. However, smaller displays may not be visible to groups of people, even small groups such as those in business meetings. Small LCD projectors may be more suitable to conference rooms, as they can display graphics large enough to be seen by all and operate strongest in low-light conditions. High-Powered Audio Visual Presentation SystemsSlightly larger plasma displays offer the highest degree of quality, at a comfortable viewing size (up to 61 inches). Many plasma displays are HD quality, and are capable of receiving input from computers, DVD players, and many other kinds of media players. Another strength of plasma displays is their size; they require little or no floor space, and can be easily mounted on any wall or other vertical surface. The most powerful LCD projector audio visual presentation systems are capable of displaying most graphics clearly from a distance, and can broadcast high-quality audio through an entire auditorium of people. Quality LCD projectors operate at upwards of 6000 lumens, and can cost thousands of dollars to purchase. Many people may be able to take advantage of rental presentation systems for a fraction of the cost, though, and receive technical support from highly-trained technicians as well.
