Av Projection Screens

AV projection screens have been important business tools since the days of slide shows and 8 millimeter film reels. They have retained their importance through many technological changes in media and equipment, and are equally important now in the era of laptop computers and digital video media. These days, most businessmen and women use AV projection screens with LCD projectors and document cameras instead of outdated slide projectors.

There have been some updates to projection screen technology, though. Notable improvements include acrylic AV projection screens that are capable of displaying images projected from behind. They can be quickly manufactured and installed in any shape or size, and are capable of displaying images in a range of lighting situations.

Traditional retractable screens are still the staple for business presentations. They are available for purchase from many office supply sources, and are available for rent from many different business rental firms. Most firms that rent LCD projectors or other presentation display equipment also rent projector screens, speakers, and other ancillary equipment as well.

Businesspeople who are looking for a small projection screen or other compact display may also consider using a plasma screen. Plasma screens are commonly available in sizes as large as 61 inches, and take up considerably less space than a projector/ projection screen combo. Many rental firms offer packages that include plasma screens, side mount speakers, and a media player (such as a DVD player or VCD) as well.
