Weather stations that are equipped with indoor outdoor thermometers are great for a number of applications. Many weather stations not only receive data from remote sensor units, but are also capable of taking measurements of the air around the weather station itself. This is a convenient way of monitoring the temperature inside your home, helping you stay comfortable and conserve energy.

Many remote sensory units are specially designed for the environment outside of your house, but some contain variable indoor outdoor thermometers. These are wonderful for monitoring rooms where a consistent temperature is key. For applications such as wine cellar climate control and greenhouse maintenance, variable indoor outdoor thermometers are a perfect fit.

Other remote thermometers are designed specifically with the indoors in mind. Smaller, less conspicuous designs have become popular with homeowners. Many times, the thermometer only requires a small battery for power, and includes a wall bracket for easy installation. Often, these remote indoor thermometers are also equipped with a tiny LCD display, giving you access to accurate temperature data in any room in the house.

Indoor Outdoor Thermometers and The Big Picture

Temperature is only a piece of the larger weather puzzle. Home weather stations also measure and record data such as humidity and air pressure. Some can even forecast the weather--with an uncanny degree of accuracy. They make a wonderful addition in convenience to any household.
