One of the major developers of home weather stations is Lacrosse Technology. Lacrosse Technology is the North American arm of an international body of companies headed up by Europe Supplies Limited (also known as La Crosse Technology Hong Kong). Since 1985, Lacrosse Technology has been producing high quality weather stations and radio-controlled clocks and watches.

Lacrosse has a complete line of both consumer grade home weather stations and professional grade weather stations. Their home line of weather stations all work in tandem with remote sensory devices, and transmit data wirelessly. Low-end models cost as little as 35 dollars, and include an indoor temperature sensor as well as an outdoor thermometer.

Lacrosse's professional weather centers include many features not found in their consumer models. They boast the ability to receive data from more sensors, larger interfaces, and the simultaneous display of all weather information. Some are equipped with touch-sensitivity, allowing intuitive control and data management. All include special Lacrosse anemometers and rain gauges.

Lacrosse Technology Also Specializes in Radio-Control Timepieces

The other specialty of Lacrosse is their wide selection of radio-controlled clocks, watches, and projection alarms. Projection alarms supplement their large LCD displays with tiny lights that project important information (the current time or even remote temperature data!) onto a nearby wall or ceiling. All of Lacrosse's US radio controlled timepieces automatically self-calibrate with the national atomic clock signal that is broadcast from Fort Collins, Colorado.
