If you don't mind hurricanes, you should move to Florida. Avoid trailer parks and beachfront property. All kidding aside, in spite of Florida's consistent bouts with Mother Nature, it remains one of the fastest growing states. Like New York and California, Florida is a true melting pot, giving employers a wide range of people with varying ethnic and social backgrounds from which to choose.

The tourism and real estate industries are massive in Florida. If you have a background in either of these industries, you should take a look at this state. South Florida real estate is booming even after a recent onslaught of hurricanes. People are willing to take the chance of getting hit by a hurricane because of the alluring qualities of the crystal blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and all the wonderful recreational activity that depends on it.

Some Excellent Florida Job Listings Sites

FloridaJobs.org has helped a number of job seekers begin great careers. This site provides job seekers with links to America's Job Bank, Florida Job Search, online job fairs, and labor market statistics. It also presents information on collecting unemployment for those who have lost their jobs and need to collect unemployment in the transition.

Florida's individual cities also have specific online job boards designed to help local residents find jobs in their respective areas. The West Palm Beach area has an online job board called PalmBeachPost.com that enables companies to post open job daily. Miami, Orlando, Tampa Bay and Jacksonville have similar sites that do the same thing. Finding a resume posting service that will do the work of entering your information into individual job sites can be a real timesaver, as well as increasing your odds of finding the right job.
