Action Games

Action games can provide a much needed break from everyday tasks such as chores and work. Some people claim that video games can improve your eye-hand coordination. Some people play them on a network with friends or other gamers all over the world, making friends with others who share their interests. Whatever reason you use to justify playing them, action video games are entertaining, exciting, and highly addictive.

The variety of games available ensures that you will be able to find one suitable for any age. Some games are particularly violent or gory, such as fighting games or those involving undead monsters. Though popular, they may not be the best choice for a child to play. That does not mean, however, that he or she cannot enjoy some action and adventure on a game system.

Animated characters such as talking animals or robots can lead you on a wild adventure. If you want to pilot a jet fighter, you may find yourself leading a squadron against the forces of evil or some alien race. If you are more inclined towards sports but lack the coordination to enjoy them in real life, you might enjoy snowboarding down a mountain and grinding on railings and doing flips in the half pipe. You can also find games in which you are thrust into the role of a spy and must foil the insidious plans of an evil organization using not only your wits but also technology made available to you.

Force Feedback in Action Games

One feature of which actions games can take advantage is vibration in the controller. Both the X Box and PS2 controllers can be set to vibrate during the course of game play in many games. This feedback is intended to immerse players more deeply in the gaming experience. Whether it is a first person shooting game or fighting game, the force feedback adds an extra element to the game so that it feels like more than just watching the game on the screen.
