Online Game Rentals

There are massive online communities of gamers who meet in chat rooms and talk on forums about their favorite games. If your friend from next door recommends a game, you can walk over and watch him play it and try it yourself. If your online friend from Singapore recommends a game, it's not so easy to give his copy a spin.

What you can do is go online and rent a copy of the game mere moments after someone tells you it's hot. If you have a membership in a club where you can rent movies and games, you don't even have to worry about which you're likely to want--you can have both or either at any time. If you don't think you'd rent five games in a month, you'll get your money's worth by renting a game or two and a couple of movies, too.

Unlimited Time with Online Game Rentals

What's even more incredible is that many online game rental stores let you have your games out for a very long time. Often the rental period is unlimited. There will be a limit to how many games or DVDs you can have out at one time--but if you're obsessing over Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2, you can keep it until you want something else instead.

If you belong to a good site, their catalog of games should be comprehensive and up-to-date. They'll have games in stock the day they are released. While you might have to wait a few days to get a game on your list, the money that you'll save (as opposed to buying the game at maximum price right away) makes the wait well worth it most of the time.
