If you're a Buffalo Bills season ticket holder, you've certainly enjoyed more than a few great football games over the last few decades. A Super Bowl championship still remains elusive for the Bills, who (no one needs reminding) lost four Super Bowls in the 1990s. Nonetheless, the Bills have remained more competitive in recent years than many NFL teams, and have featured some spectacular players who are destined to make the Hall-of-Fame.

The Comeback

Any Bills fan lucky enough to have tickets to the 1993 playoff game against the Houston Oilers was treated to one of the most amazing comebacks in sports history. I was cleaning my room that day with the game on in the background, and I still remember dropping everything (including my jaw) as I watched the Bills perform a miracle. I'm a huge football fan, and I've always wished I could have been at that game.

By half-time of that game, Houston's Warren Moon had passed for 218 yards and four touchdowns, and the Oilers were leading the Bills in time-of-possession by a two-to-one margin. The score was 28-3, and the Bills looked to be in dire straits. They didn't even have their starting quarterback--the injured Jim Kelly had been replaced by Frank Reich.

The second half opened with more bad news for the Bills: a 58-yard interception returned for a touchdown. Down 35-3, Frank Reich somehow led the Bills back, scoring 33 unanswered points. The game went into overtime, and Steve Christie kicked a field goal to complete the largest comeback in NFL history.
