Online Ticket Sales

Trust me, online ticket sales are better than in-line ticket sales, having suffered through the latter many times in my life. I remember waiting in line for 10 hours to get Rush tickets. Three hours into the wait it started raining ... hard. After four hours of torrential rain I swear I saw Noah float by on his ark. He looked at me and said, "Man, are you crazy?" Apparently, I thought, considering I just saw Noah float by on an ark.

I hope you don't mind if I inject a little humor into this process. Online ticket sales pose a number of advantages and disadvantages for consumers. A number of people, including myself, will pay a little more if it means I can save a little time. I equate my time to money so spending time in line is just like throwing away money. However, with more and more competition hitting the Internet, prices are going down, one of the many beauties of competition.

Advantages and Drawbacks of Online Ticket Sales

As I just mentioned, saving time is a huge advantage for most people. In addition to saving time, most places that offer online ticket sales have a plethora of events from which to choose. I use a couple of online venues and each time I visit these sites I get an entire menu of events to choose from. Since I own a business, this variety and flexibility helps me service my clients.

The only drawback online tickets sales post concerns unethical businesses. Ticket buyers often time like to exchange their money for an actual ticket in person. They don't trust the Internet or the company operating on the Internet. That's why it's important to perform your due diligence before you choose an online ticket broker. The companies that have been around for a while have stayed around for a reason. My online broker has earned my business for over seven years.
