Online Credit Check

An online credit check will register with all three of the major credit bureaus. Each time you have someone pull your credit history it is instantly logged. Too many inquisitions into your credit are not a good thing.

Getting What You Bargained For

Before you sign up for an online credit check, you'll want to be sure to read the fine print. Just because a company is offering a free service now, could mean you are locked into annual payments. A truly free credit check is a one-time situation that requires no payment at time of commitment or during the months following.

For those of you who have been denied credit, either through a credit card company or a retailer, you are assured a free credit report through the lender that denied your application. This request must occur within six months of the application being denied.

A Lawful Online Credit Check

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) was established to ensure confidentiality and accuracy for all consumers. There are many different rights under the FCRA, and as a consumer you should be well educated on all of them. For more information on the FRCA visit their website directly.
