Boat Loans

Have you ever wanted to buy a boat? Many people love the feel of being out on the ocean whether it be in a yacht, a speedboat or a fishing boat. There is something about the sea breeze whipping through your hair that can't be beat. It's also quite soothing to fall asleep on a boat with the gentle rocking of the waves. You could be looking to purchase a boat for pleasure or to live on.

Whatever your boating desires, you might need to apply for a boat loan. If you are coming out of the military, it's suggested that you apply for a military loan. These are only for people in the military and require certain documents. You will have to supply your credit report, military rank, years in service, ETS and LES. All of these are used to help determine how much money you are eligible for, as well as what your interest rate will be.

None of those things should keep you from getting a loan. Of course, no broker can ever guarantee a loan for a certain amount, but you can apply for whatever you think you need. In fact, it's suggested that you apply for what you need as opposed to what you think you can get. If you think you can get less, but need more, you could shortchange yourself. If you think you can get more, but need less, you'll put yourself in a big debt hole.

Know Your Lender

No matter whom you choose to borrow money from, you should get a few things in writing about your lender. You should get their name and address. You should know how long they have been in business. Find out the number of loans that were given out in the past year, along with possible sources of the loan money.
