Business Loans

Many people are looking to start their own businesses, especially if they are about to get out of the military. However, not everyone has the startup capital required to start a business. Maybe you're just looking to start something online. Maybe you need a high-rise building with tons of employees. Whatever your desires, if you can't afford it with your own money, you are going to have to apply for a loan.

Before you apply, you will want to make a list of everything you think you will need to start. This includes payments on office furniture and equipment, a building lease if you need it, your product, your employees, getting utilities turned on and running and a whole host of other things. If you are not familiar with starting a business and it's something bigger than a website, you might want to meet with a financial planner or pick up a book on small businesses.

There are certain lenders online that specialize in loans for small businesses. You can opt for one of these, but you don't have to. It's a good idea to look around and find rates and plans that suit you best. If you have a question about a company, you can always look them up with the Better Business Bureau. If any place requires you to call a 900 number, find something else.

Benefits of Owning a Business

There are some really great perks to owning your own business. Your income is described as 1099 income. This, according to all accountants, is the best way to get paid. With most incomes, such as the W-2, you are taxed on everything you make. With 1099, you are taxed on what is left after you subtract all of your business expenses.
