The best companies offer good rates based on the amount of the settlement, the date of sale, and the S&P rating of the company guaranteeing the payment. A person can sell off as many or as few payments as he likes, but it is always a good idea to keep as many future payments as possible. After the sale is approved by the court, the seller can receive a substantial payment in weeks, allowing him to quickly better his financial situation.
