Marvel Wine Coolers
Written by Linda Alexander
So many people buy a bottle of wine for dinner, then decide to purchase a case, and soon become collectors. Once you’ve reached this stage, you will need a storage system for your wine. Options range from unfinished wooden cabinets to the very opulent, very large, custom-built wine cellars with multiple temperature zones, interior lights, and fancy cabinetry designed to fit into your home’s decor.
Any quality wine cooler will control both temperature and humidity. While shopping for coolers, keep in mind that you will probably need double the storage you think you need. Some retailers have heard their customers say they won’t be able to fill a walk-in cellar, then call a few months later needing an extra one built.
Marvel is one brand that is quiet, powerful, and long-lasting. Their designs are luxurious and will fit well in a living room, office, kitchen, or master bedroom. Marvel was the innovator in luxury undercounter wine cellars and all models come with features like quiet but powerful compressors, forced air ventilation, and a selection of color choices and doors.
Additional Features and Considerations
Other things to consider when purchasing a wine cooler are its size and how much space you have. Make sure that it will fit through your door when it’s delivered. Also think about its location. Larger models weigh up to 500 pounds empty, so if you have one or two full ones, you might not want to put it upstairs on an unsupported floor! Decide whether you want to be able to see through the doors, have interior lighting to read labels without opening the doors, or whether oak will suffice. If you’re not concerned with looks, you can find less expensive models that will not match your décor.
