Wine Carriers

My favorite wine carriers are insulated. I prefer white wine, and I like it fairly chilly, so for me, insulated wine carriers are just a must. I love giving these insulated bags as gifts, because they create a great impression for a reasonable price.

Wine Carriers and BYO Restaurants

When I lived in New York, one of my favorite areas was Little Bombay, on 6th Street. The street, which is in the East Village, is packed with Indian restaurant after Indian restaurant. Each one is more outlandishly decorated than the next, with strings of blinking lights and lots of mylar decorations.

The food is delicious and incredibly cheap, and most of these places even have live sitar music. They've got a lot to offer, but what most of them don't have is a liquor license. At first, I thought this was a real drawback, since I like to have a glass of wine with my meal when I'm dining out.

Then I noticed other patrons would come to the restaurants with bottles in wine carriers. What I once thought of as a drawback soon became a plus. By bringing my own, I got to drink exactly the kind of wine I wanted, and I even got to save money. Now, BYO restaurants have become my favorites.
