You can find some fabulous sugar free recipes on the Web for all types of foods. If you have diabetes or perhaps you are on a strict, high-protein diet, you will need to limit the amount of real sugar in your diet. Sugar contains a lot of calories and carbohydrates, therefore making it a poor choice for diabetics and those people trying to lose some weight.

You may be surprised to learn that many of the foods you love come with a high sugar content. If you are a diabetic or you are adhering to a low carb diet, you must diligently read each and every food label before you eat.

In fact, your friends probably won’t know the difference if you don’t tell them that you omitted the sugar.

Maltitol is another natural sweetener made from malted corn syrup that can be used in baking. Gourmet chocolate tastes every bit as divine when it is made with maltitol as it does when it is sweetened with real sugar. If you want to choose healthier alternatives to cooking with sugar, you do have several options.
