Osem is Israel's largest grocery food manufacturer. The company mostly sells snack products, but has many options in food items that you can purchase. In fact, this company makes over 1,000 different products. Popular items include crackers, cookies, dehydrated soups, pasta, and cakes. Snacks are the most popular items for those following a Kosher diet.

A Kosher diet is primarily observed in the Jewish religion. The rules of Kosher can be found in the Torah, the Old Testament of the Bible, and have been used for thousands of years in the Jewish religion. There are three types of Kosher foods and they are dairy, meat, and parve. Snacks, desserts, grains, cereals, and most carbohydrate products are considered to be parve.

Osem Food Products

Osem food products are all certified Kosher. However, during Passover, a new set of rules applies to Kosher foods. Some foods and snacks that are Kosher during the year are not considered Kosher during Passover. For instance, corn and soy are acceptable during the year, but not during Passover. To find Kosher products for Passover, look for foods that are labeled as Kosher for Passover, with a "U" or a "P."

There are many different Osem foods available to purchase. You can find them in some grocery stores, Kosher markets, and by ordering them on the Internet. Some snack options include Bamba, Bissli, Apropa, Kesach, chex mixes, and Zaatar. Other products include soup mixes, instant pudding, olives, couscous, casserole mixes, dessert mixes, and cakes.
