Cookware

The best chefs depend on the best cookware to make their recipes a tasty success. Cheap, store-bought cookware often is made of lower quality materials that do not distribute heat evenly. This creates unevenly cooked food. It just takes a small layer of burnt food to ruin a good cream sauce!

Good cookware should last you a lifetime. My dad still has pots and pans I used to use as a child. They look exactly the same today as they did 10 years ago. They still cook exactly like they did back then as well.

Make A Good Meal Great with The Right Cookware

When I bought my first set of cookware, I decided to jump on the easily cleaned non-stick bandwagon. Needless to say, I do not have that cookware anymore, as the "scratch resistant" non-stick coating seemed to scratch and flake off after a year or two of regular use. Perhaps that is why it is priced so low, so that people can easily buy replacement sets.

If your child is moving out on his or her own, or going away to college, it's a great idea to buy him or her a simple set of durable cookware. It's safe to assume it won't be used to make gourmet cream sauce or tasty paella. But a good set of cookware can make a really delicious bowl of ramen noodle soup.
