Led DisplaysWritten by Sierra Rein LED displays are some of the most effective and eye-catching marketing tools available for anyone eager to draw in customers. Even smaller units, those able to hold up to 35 messages in their memory banks, are great for casinos, banks, hotels, bars, stadiums, and amusement parks. Their images and text can be seen from a great distance, allowing marketing messages, sales pitches and important information to be kept on display to the public for days. LEDs (short for "light emitting diodes") have existed for more than 30 years. A semiconductor creates a continuous light source once a low voltage current flows through its junction. A series of LEDs strung together can create a strong and versatile display screen capable of displaying numerals, scrolling text and even simple pictures. These LED displays can be chosen in a variety of colors, especially the imaging color building blocks of red, green, and blue. Because diodes can be viewed from any angle, LED displays are perfect for trade shows, in carnivals, alongside highways and even under nighttime or imperfect lighting situations. Large displays (two feet in height or more) are better for farther distances, but eight inch displays are quite suited for shorter distances of one to 100 feet. Using LED Displays for Concession StandsAn LED display can be placed anywhere on a concession stand, whether above the food product or at eye level within the stand itself. A computerized system controls the scroll rate, colors, and text input values. These can be written and stored as options in a memory cell and individually brought up whenever the need for a particular message arises.
