Free Online College Applications

It seems that everything about traditional colleges is expensive these days. Even applying costs money. I have been applying to several schools recently to begin work on a PhD program, and it has cost me between $50 to $100 for every application I've sent in. This is just another item in the already long list of expensive college costs.

Of course, not every college is like this. There are some colleges that do not charge students to apply. Schools like this understand that college is expensive enough and students shouldn't have to pay just to see if they can get in. Many online universities are like this, offering free applications for students.

Free Application to Online Universities

In the case of online universities, applications are completed and processed online. Prospective students simply click on the application menu, fill out all the necessary information, and click submit. There are no hidden fees associated with application. Online applications are processed and reviewed more quickly than paper applications, so students will get results sooner.

Once students receive their acceptance, there is a wide range of areas to study in and many degrees offered. Some offer associates degrees, some offer bachelors degrees, some offer MBAs or other graduate work, and a few even have post graduate offerings. A good online university will offer several different degree programs in several different fields. Common areas of study are business, the law, and technology.
