Best Family Board Games

Some of the best family board games are ones that have been around for years. Monopoly, The Game of Life, and Clue are just a few. There are also some other, more recent games that are just as good, if not better, that will keep the whole family in stitches for hours.

The Best Family Board Games in Town

One of the best family board games I have found is Cranium. What makes it so great is that it can be played and enjoyed by anyone, no matter the age. The game has a lot of variety too, which is what keeps it interesting. This is one of the few games I can play over and over again in one sitting and never get tired of.

Another great family game is Jenga. (Although very young children may have a little trouble with it coordination wise.) Jenga is a game where a stack of rectangular, interlocking blocks are removed one piece at a time and placed back on the top of the stack.

Timber!

As more and more pieces are added to the top of the Jenga tower and more are taken from the center and bottom, the stack of blocks starts to teeter. Some of the most fun our family has ever had has involved the intensity and nervous patience of very carefully removing blocks to keep the whole stack from falling. (Although to be honest, it's even fun when it falls.)
