Slumber Party Games

My daughters love to have sleepovers and play slumber party games. If you're having a household full of kids, you have got to have good group games. My daughters have educated me on a great many things, not the least of which is what games are the most fun to play.

Classic Slumber Party Games

I've found that slumber party games are best when they allow you to laugh and be loud. Among the more popular in our house is one called Stare, which is a newer game for us. In it, players stare at an image for half a minute or so, then have to remember what was in the picture.

After all these years, Ouija! (Pronounced Wee-Jee) is still a favorite among the girls. Everyone places their hands on the magic window marker, and asks the board questions. If the "spirits" are willing, the window moves around the board to answer with the words, "Yes," "No" or to spell things out.

Classic Fun

At one overnight, the girls broke out the classic, Barbie Dream Date. Girls compete to win by collecting gifts and photos from their date with the hunky Ken. Whoever had the best date at the end of the game wins. (The value of a date being measured by how many great gifts and fun things Barbie and Ken did together.) After all these years, it seems that Barbie is still as shallow as ever.
