The newest and most exciting game since Cranium is Apples to Apples. It's so simple, you're really just comparing things. The trick is that you're comparing things that don't usually go together, and that's where the fun comes in. No matter how many times you play, it's a unique experience, as players can generate an infinite amount of answers.

Close Encounters of the Fun Kind

One of my favorite unique board games that I've received recently is also really silly. It's called Balancing Aliens. It's a bit like Jenga in that players have to have a steady hand and great sense of balance. The unique part is that you are balancing aliens. Don't let them fall or their spaceship crashes.

An older, but still fun and unique game is Battle of the Sexes. This is great to play at a couples' game night. The challenge is to see how much women know about typically male information and vice versa. Losing is always bad but it's almost more embarrassing to win this game!
