Las Vegas craps is played all around the world. Las Vegas is one of the most popular gambling cities in the United States and craps is one of the most popular games there. You don't have to travel to Vegas anymore to enjoy Las Vegas Craps; it is now available online from the comfort of your own home.

The modern game of craps evolved from a French game in New Orleans--the name originated from the English word crabs and French word crabes. As the United States spread west, the game of craps followed. After Nevada legalized gambling in 1931, Las Vegas craps quickly became one of the most popular games. It is estimated that over 30 million Americans play craps every year.

Reasons Why Craps Is Popular

For the gambling public, craps is a very exciting game. The tempo of the game and general excitement at the table is a very strong aphrodisiac for players. Betting on the game is exciting as tension builds with each roll of the dice. Managing the varying bets from safer pass line bets to crazy horn bets is a fun part of the game.

The casinos enjoy the game of craps because they have an unbeatable advantage over most players. The house typically wins if a player rolls a seven before the point. The advantage for the house is that seven has the highest chance of being rolled of any number between two and twelve. The house entices players to bet lower quality bets by offering higher payout ratios but where they maintain a strong advantage. However, skilled players can usually work the table to their advantage.
