Poker Supplies

Chips, beer, whiskey, and cigars are not poker supplies. While those items may very well enhance your poker playing experience, they are not necessary supplies for the actual poker game. Unfortunately, poker players often have a difficult time finding stores that provide a range of actual poker supplies. They either have to travel to some remote specialty store or find some distributor on the Internet.

What supplies do you need in order to host a respectable poker game? Depending on the group of people you play with, you should probably have a look at your poker chips. If you have a large group coming over, make sure you have enough poker chips with an appropriate number of denominations. If you're playing with several decks of cards, you might want to order a card shuffler to ensure the smooth flow of the game.

Important Poker Supplies

Poker tables definitely fall under the "important poker supplies" category. Playing on a kitchen or dining room table just doesn't cut it. It degrades the game and makes the experience inauthentic. Little things like chip spacers and chip storage boxes also make a subtle difference in the quality of the game and enhance the flow of the game. In addition, make sure you have at least two fresh sets of playing cards.

Chip holders and dealing shoes are items a serious card player should have in supply. You don't have to go out and spend a ton of money on these things, especially if you are a casual player who likes to play low stakes games for fun. However, even if you do fall into that category, the casual game is far more enjoyable when the casual players get a chance to play with adequate poker supplies.
