The Awesome New River Gorge Bridge

There are some considerations you might like to keep in mind when planning a trip to the New River in West Virginia. First, winter is usually not the most favored time of year to go whitewater rafting, simply because the temperatures can be very cold and the river water is even colder. Most people prefer to book their rafting vacation in the warmer months, from April through September, with June, July, and August being the busiest times.

Another point to consider is that there are loads of other outdoor recreational activities available to those who want to visit this area. You can try your hand at kayaking, canoeing, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and camping. The natural beauty of the West Virginia wilderness is so amazing that it draws in thousands of tourists every year.
