The Gauley River offers the thrill and excitement of a lifetime, with pounding whitewater waves that truly require a brave soul to take them on.

If you love the great outdoors, and are always up for an adventure, than you will find your niche in West Virginia whitewater rafting. There are whitewater rafting trips for every level, from beginner to advanced. However, keep in mind that if you are timid and uncomfortable in the water to begin with, you will probably not find what you are looking for with whitewater rafting. If that sounds like more than you want to take on, you have nothing to worry about, because there are rafting expeditions geared towards the beginner as well as the advanced rafter.
