Trampoline PadsWritten by Patricia Skinner Trampolines are great fun, and they're also very healthy. Many parents go ahead and buy a trampoline for their kids while focusing on the many positive aspects, without giving so much as a thought to the possible dangers. Almost anything used the wrong way can be dangerous, and a trampoline is no exception. Trampolining depends on balance, and while using the trampoline will develop this skill in adults and children alike, sometimes people lose their balance. This is why safety nets and trampoline pads are available. Injury is also caused by falling on or into the springs. While hardly any trampolines are sold with safety nets, trampoline pads have become standard. Quality Trampoline PadsThey are often brightly colored, to help trampoline users gauge where they're supposed to be. They should cover the entire spring area as well as the top edge of the trampoline frame. However, trampoline pads do vary in quality. They need to be thick and resilient, in addition to hard-wearing and robust. If the pads on your trampoline are beginning to show signs of wear, or if they never were very good quality, you might consider replacing them with some better ones. This applies especially if children use your trampoline regularly. Covering the springs with thick pads will go a long way toward keeping them all safe and bouncing happily.
