Trampoline RepairsWritten by Patricia Skinner No matter how good the trampoline you buy, or how robust, there will probably come a time when you need to have it repaired. It is essential that you seek repair facilities that will bring your trampoline up to its previous standards. Shoddy repairs carried out by an amateur could pose a serious safety hazard for you and your family. In all likelihood, the best place to get your trampoline repaired is the shop where you bought it, or another trampoline supplier. Ask what parts will be used for replacement. For safety and looks, original parts are a necessity. What Might Need RepairingThe first parts of your trampoline that are likely to need repairing are the jumping mat and the safety pads around the edge. If you see that your jumping mat is frayed, even if it's tiny, you should get it seen to right away. You might save a lot more than just replacement costs by taking this seriously. If there is a large tear in the mat you will probably not be able to get it repaired, but will need to buy a replacement. If your spring pads are torn or damaged you should get them repaired or replace them because serious injuries could be sustained from people landing on the springs and perhaps getting a limb caught. Trampoline springs may occasionally need replacing, but again, a good quality trampoline will last years. Your trampoline frame should also last you years if you bought a good make, and even weather shouldn't affect it appreciably. Look for phrases like "galvanized steel" and "rust proof" when you're buying, and also look for a make that has a good reputation.
