Herbal remedies for various disorders and diseases have existed for thousands of years. Before people had hospitals and drug companies, they simply had Mother Nature and what she provided. Over the centuries, doctors, medicine men, monks, researchers, and tribal leaders learned that various herbs have healing and pain relieving powers. Herbs typically have fewer side effects and often work better than expensive medications generated by drug companies.

Herbal remedies for arthritis abound. Herbs are not regulated by most world governments, which makes them a blessing and a curse. Herbal remedies aren't subjected to the same rigorous tests that other drugs must go through. That issue aside, if you look at the percentages, there are very few cases of people experiencing severe side effects relating to herbal remedies.
