Prostate Cancer PreventionWritten by Patricia Skinner All men should be interested in prostate cancer prevention. With the rate of prostate cancer rising steadily, it should be clear to everyone that lifestyle is a major culprit. Therefore, lifestyle changes are the best way of preventing prostate cancer. What are the changes that will have the most impact on prostate cancer? To begin with, a major factor for prostate cancer is a toxic colon. When the colon is impacted with waste matter that hasn't been eliminated as it should, toxins have nowhere to go except through the colon wall. There, they enter the bloodstream and wreak havoc with all the major organs and body systems. Little by little, the integrity of the immune system, glands and organs is eroded by these toxins until at some point, cancer forms. The prostate is a likely spot for cancer to form because it is so close to the toxins leaking out of the colon. Prostate Cancer Prevention and Toxic BuildupSo a vital part of prostate cancer prevention is preventing this toxic buildup. Diet is the main cause of such a condition, so it is with diet that the solution should begin. As with any efforts to improve general health, prostate cancer prevention should involve eating lots of fresh, raw fruit and vegetables, and natural foods that are high in fiber. Oils are important too, but should be of the virgin, cold pressed variety. Take great care to avoid any processed oils because they are not healthful at all, but rather place an extra strain on the body. Exercise, too, should be part of any serious cancer prevention diet. This is because a well toned body with a higher proportion of muscle is better at keeping itself clean and in good running order. There is no need to overdo it, especially at first. Gentle walking will do until you feel stronger and can manage more.
