Don't Forget the Tongue

We've already told you that brushing and flossing are the two most important, and easy ways to avoiding bad breath. If you are suffering from your less-than-perfect habits of the past, then you may be looking for a cure for bad breath. Whether you are experiencing the first signs of gum disease or simply enjoy extreme amounts of garlic in your food, there are a few steps you can take to ensure a fresh mouth.

Not only should you brush your teeth, but don't forget your tongue. Eliminating any bacteria or odor on your tongue through brushing will help freshen your breath. Additionally, replace your tooth brush every few months.

An Easy Cure for Bad Breath

Drinking water will help to keep your mouth moist. Another cause of bad breath is xerostomia, or dry mouth. Without saliva in your mouth you can not sufficiently wash away bacteria and cells that live on your tongue, cheeks and gums.
