Research Before You Buy

Teeth whitening products can vary in product offering and price. Depending on how much you can spend or how serious you are about whitening your teeth, one or more of these solutions may work for you. Before you decide to whiten your teeth, do as much research as possible before purchasing a tooth whitening kit.

As mentioned earlier in this site, do-it-yourself kits are inexpensive but don't give the best results. Without a customized tray your teeth aren't completely exposed to the bleaching agent. As a result, your teeth may not whiten as much as they could.

A slightly more expensive option would be dentist-supervised home teeth whitening products. This would combine the benefit of a tray custom fit to your teeth and powerful bleaching chemicals that are not available through a drug store or pharmacy. Your dentist can help you with the process ensuring you get the most white for your money.

Even more expensive is an in-office bleaching procedure that your dentist can perform. This is often done using trays and bleaching agents or ultra violet light. In less than 90 minutes you could leave the dentist's office with set of teeth up to ten shades whiter!
