Spinning is a great form of exercise to slim the size of your legs and strengthen your heart. It also strengthens muscles such as your glutes, quads, hamstrings and calves. Even if you are new to fitness, you will never feel like you are lagging behind in a spinning class. The average spinning class lasts approximately one hour. Your instructor will take you on an imaginary journey up mountains, through jungles and around trees and shrubs. If at any time, you feel the intensity of your journey is too much, you can use the adjustable resistance knob on your bike. Typically, you will increase the resistance when you are standing up to give your leg and glute muscles a hard workout. The resistance is decreased when you sit down and peddle at a much faster pace to keep your heart rate up. Spinning Class Spinning at Home If you are interested in home exercise bikes that are designed toward spinning, you have many to choose from. Be sure, however, that the bike you choose is specifically geared toward spinning. This bike will not have all of the fancy gadgets and colorful light up screens of a traditional stationary bike. Taking a spinning class or doing any other type of aerobic activity is excellent for your health. You will find that you will be able to manage stress better and feel much better about yourself. It is important for people of all ages to take care of themselves and to have fun every step of the way.
