The Spirit SL-198 treadmill is a folding treadmill made by the Spirit company. The Spirit company was established in Arkansas in the 1980s. Spirit was the first treadmill company to use PWM technology in residential treadmills and a heart rate control system. Spirit is also the only treadmill company that offers the low impact Trax Flex system.

Spirit SL-198 Treadmill Features

The Spirit SL-198 treadmill is very similar to the SL-188. The main difference is that the SL-198 has a motorized folding system. Folding treadmills are very convenient and allow you to have much more available space when you are not using the treadmill. A motorized folding system is beneficial because it is easy, since treadmills can be very heavy to lift.

The SL-198 has a 2.0 HP Continuous Duty motor and a 1-ply low noise design belt. The high alloy steel frame and 51" walking surface allows for a maximum user weight of 275 pounds. The treadmill has standard pulse grips and the frame is a champagne bronze color with black accents.

The Spirit SL-198 treadmill has a large, single LED display that shows distance, speed, calories, time, incline, and pulse. This treadmill has five preset programs for manual, interval, cardio, endurance, and weight loss training. The treadmill has a limited warranty of 2 years for electronics, deck and belt, 10 years for the motor, and a lifetime warranty on the frame welding.
