For many people the new rimless eyeglass frames are the most flattering. This is not the only quality that accounts for their phenomenal success since they appeared on the market though. To all intents and purposes, they are the closest thing to invisible eyeglasses.

Rimless eyeglasses are popular for a lot of reasons. It's particularly easy to find a pair that will go with a lot of outfits and styles, since they're not a strong statement in themselves. You may find, however, that rimless glasses are more expensive than other types of frames.

Advanced Technology of Rimless Frames

This is mainly because the technology involved is new and superior. There is a wide choice of hinges, such as the aerodynamic hinge, the rimless S hinge, the rimless vertical clip, and the rimless cone hinge. Some rimless frames are hinge-less. Other choices that you'll find with rimless frames are lens color (tint) and shape.

There are drawbacks to rimless eyeglasses frames. They're not all as robust as other designs. If you are in the habit of placing your glasses where they might be dropped or where someone might sit on them, then you might be well advised to pick a type of rimless frame that will stand up to rough treatment. A titanium hinge is one type you might look at.

The good news is that now you can get rimless reading glasses too. They are particularly good as reading glasses because they're small, unobtrusive and lightweight. They come in the same range of styles and colors as you'd find in the eyeglasses ranges.
