Electrolysis

For many women electrolysis have proven to be a reliable solution for long-term hair removal. This is an especially important option for people who are suffering from a loss of self-esteem due to changes in their appearance that are beyond their control. Thanks to good old genetics, some of us are more prone to unwanted facial hair on chin, neck and upper lip. This hair can grow in long and course, and makes many of us feel unattractive.

I tried electrolysis a couple of years ago for my chin. I paid roughly twenty dollars for a twenty-minute session. When I first began the treatment I went back every couple of weeks. As my treatments begin to take effect I started going less frequently. While the treatments were painful, I enjoyed the feeling right afterward of knowing I didn't have to worry about finding an unwanted hair during the day, with no way to remove it.

Who Gets Electrolysis?

As I continued to visit the electrolysis office I learned that all kinds of people turn to this hair removal system. I asked my service provider about her clients, and learned that she worked with men and women of all ages and ethnicities. She said men preferred the service mostly for their back and chest, while women often visited her to address facial hair.

When I stopped going to my service provider I was able to maintain a reduction in hair growth on my chin. As time has passed it seems the hair is wanted to come back again, and I may need to return for a visit. If this sounds like an option for you, you can find a listing of specialists in your area by searching the phone book. You can also search online through one of the many directories to find a provider in your area.
