Losing hair can be a frightening experience. Over 40 million men and 20 million women currently deal with hair loss. Every person loses 50 -150 hairs each day, but when hair loss exceeds hair growth, balding occurs.

Hair loss can be caused by any number of factors. 95 percent of the time balding is caused by genetic predisposition. Other factors that may contribute include stress, malnutrition, head trauma, dehydration, or illness.

How to Stop Losing Hair

There are various options in products and procedures to prevent from losing hair. Hair creams, tonics, and sprays will temporarily thicken the appearance of the hair you already have. They will not completely stop you from losing hair, or contribute to hair re-growth, however.

Hair transplantation is the best way to regain a full head of hair. The procedure offers permanent results. Patients are often thrilled with the results of hair transplantation surgery.
