Hypnosis And Diets

If you want to lose weight successfully, you have to put your mind to it--your entire mind. When you make a New Year's resolution to lose weight or you sign up for a gym membership, you are deciding to lose weight with your conscious mind; but what about your subconscious? Has it decided to lose weight, too, or is it still fully committed to relaxing over a pint of ice cream and battling stress with a pepperoni pizza?

Until you invite your subconscious mind to join your conscious, rational mind in the battle of the bulge, you will find yourself giving into temptation. You may find yourself halfway through a box of doughnuts before you even realize that you have purchased them, opened them and eaten them. If you consistently cheat on your decision to eat healthfully, it may not be a sign of your conscious mind's weakness. Rather, it may be a sign of your subconscious mind's strength.

Hypnosis, Diets and the Strength of the Subconscious

There's a happy ending to this sad tale. If your subconscious mind truly is so strong that it can drive you to Krispy Kreme without your conscious mind even noticing it, then it must be pretty powerful, indeed. Through hypnosis, you can take all this raw power and harness it in your fight to stay fit.

The great thing about hypnosis is that it prepares the subconscious mind for suggestion. The power of suggestion, along with the reduction in our sense of inhibition, is what causes grown men to bark like dogs or quack like ducks during a hypnotism show. Suggestion is also capable of making chocolate taste unpleasant, or overeating seem very uncomfortable.
