Many over the age of 60 face the embarrassment and frustration of dealing with leakage of urine at one time or another. That does not mean that just because you are approaching that specific age that you are going to be one of the unfortunate individuals with incontinence. Keeping the body in excellent physical condition is one of the best ways to avoid the muscle weakness that is often associated with the inability to retain urine. Even if you are experiencing bladder incontinence, it is not too late to begin working on the muscles to strengthen the bladder and urethra area. Bladder incontinence can be the result of many conditions. Some medications can cause incontinence. Spinal cord injuries or neurological disorders may result in the inability to control urination. For those individuals without resolution of the incontinence, products specifically for long-term use will provide excellent protection from public embarrassment. Dignity does not have to be compromised just because of incontinence.
