I don't think nearly as many people would see such wonderful results from the Atkins diet, if it weren't for the Atkins desserts. Way too many people in this world have a huge sweet tooth. Even for those that don't, a little chocolate pudding or ice cream after a summer meal can hit the spot. There are very few people willing to lose weight at the expense of giving up all desserts and other sugary foods.

The Atkins diet certainly meets the needs of the sweet tooth. You can find puddings that you make at home, cake mixes and cookies just to name a few. In addition, you can either get mixes so you can bake on your own or you can order sweets that are ready to go when the craving hits. One of the best things is that there are some Atkins desserts that are usable for the first Induction Phase.

Variety of Atkins Desserts

Not everyone likes chocolates. Not everyone likes hard candy or saltwater taffy. Fortunately, Atkins desserts offer all of the above and everything in between. Just hearing that is enough for some people looking to lose weight to start the Atkins diet. Hearing that dessert is available, right from the very beginning, is comforting to people. We don't want to throw our lives into upheaval. We want to do things gradually.

Are some of you starting to wonder what kinds of desserts are offered? Remember, this is just through Atkins. There are also a number of low carb cookbooks out there that have recipes for tons of other dessert dishes. In the Induction Phase alone you can have Atkins cinnamon bun mix, donuts, pudding mix, meringues, mousse mixes, and French crepes. And that's just the beginning.
