MLD is a massage therapy that involves gentle strokes that aim to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid and drain the congested areas. This is a non-invasive, painless approach to managing lymphedema, and patients usually find it relaxing. CDT involves the use of compression garments, remedial exercises, proper skin and nail care, as well as a guideline for a nutritious diet.
