KnobbleWritten by Liza HartungThe Knobble almost sounds like it could be a space probe made by NASA. It is not, though. What it is is a great massage tool for very tough spots. If you've never seen one, imagine a large cabinet knob. It is made of solid hardwood and is easily held in the fingers. This very simple looking tool can do wonders for pesky, stubborn knots. This is a tool that I could most certainly benefit from. I seem to have knots all over my back all the time. I don't know why--I work out regularly, I eat healthy, and I try to lower my stress levels. I think that's my big problem. Things stress me out way too easily. Because of that, my back is almost always in knots. When I go to a massage therapist, I warn them before we start. I'm sure they get people warning them all the time. However, about ten minutes into my session, my therapist usually says, "Whoa, you weren't kidding." If this sounds like what happens to you, feel free to suggest the Knobble to your massage therapist. Knobble for KnotsThis is a great tool for massage therapists. Actually, it can be used in your own home. It is quite easy to use once you know how. All you have to do, once you find a particularly stubborn knot, is hold the Knobble on it with pressure. As the knot begins to loosen, apply more pressure. This is great if you live with a significant other who has no clue how to give a massage. Hopefully, he or she can figure out how to hold an object in place (I'm not talking about myself here, or anything). The Knobble is also wonderful for massage therapists. Just by using this tool instead of their hands for tough knots, they give their hands a rest and help their joints. Also, since this is a wooden tool, clients will not scream out because a cold object has just touched their back when they were not expecting it. This is a simple device, but very effective.
