MS is a complex disease and is difficult to diagnose. Symptoms and effects vary in each individual case. MS affects everyone differently. Therefore, it can be difficult to confirm early Multiple Sclerosis symptoms.

What Are Early Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms?

Multiple Sclerosis is an unpredictable disease. Some afflicted with the disease suffer a myriad of symptoms. Others show almost no symptoms at all. Early Multiple Sclerosis symptoms can include, but are not limited to numbness, balance problems, blurred vision, and muscle spasms.

There are other symptoms, which may lead to the diagnosis of MS. A person with early onset of Multiple Sclerosis symptoms may also suffer tremors, slurred speech, or bladder and bowel problems. Sexual problems are also commonly experienced, as are depression and problems with concentration and memory. A doctor should check persons suspecting they have Multiple Sclerosis, immediately.

Are There Treatments for MS?

There has been much advancement in the treatment of MS. One Multiple Sclerosis treatment option is Avonex, or Interferon beta-1a. It is the most prescribed drug for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis and helps stop the deterioration of myelin tissue. This helps prevent further damage to nerve fibers, and helps halt the progress of the disease.
