Discount Celebrex is a medication prescribed for pain management in patients with osteoarthritis. It is also prescribed to treat menstrual pain as well as manage the stiffness associated with both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. Celebrex should not be taken by anyone who has a history of stomach ulcers, as this medication can increase the risks of severe problems associated with ulcers of the stomach.

Celebrex has also been getting a great deal of press lately because it is now believed that it can increase the chances of a patient developing cardiovascular disease. However, if you suffer from rheumatoid or osteoarthritis pain, your doctor may feel that the benefits outweigh the risks of you taking this medication. If you are in constant pain and have not found relief from any other medications or treatment therapies, Celebrex may be able to help provide much needed pain relief.

Celebrex is taken orally either once or twice daily, depending on your condition. For patients with severe rheumatoid arthritis, it is recommended that Celebrex be taken twice a day. Usually the dosage is either 100 to 200 mg two times per day for the management of severe pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. For pain relief due to menstrual cramping, the patient may be advised to take Celebrex only during the first couple of days of her menstrual period to take the edge off the pelvic and lower back pain.

Possible Side Effects of Celebrex

Side effects to watch for are headache, indigestion, diarrhea, sinus inflammation, nausea, or upper respiratory tract infection symptoms, otherwise known as the common cold. If any symptoms become overly bothersome, contact your doctor for advisement. Never stop taking Celebrex without first consulting your doctor, as he or she may prefer to wean you off the drug rather than have you stop cold turkey.
