Discount Zoloft is a prescription drug used to treat depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post traumatic stress disorder. For children ages six to 12 and adolescents ages 12-17 suffering from OCD, Zoloft may help alleviate symptoms. Zoloft is taken by mouth in tablet form usually one time per day. This medication can be taken with or without food and water.

As with any type of prescription medication, it is necessary that you continue taking Zoloft even if you feel better. Some patients find that it takes a few weeks of continued use before they notice any improvement in their condition. If you have been taking Zoloft in large doses as prescribed by your doctor, it is recommended that you gradually decrease the amount you take daily when you and your doctor feel you no longer need Zoloft for your symptoms. Many patients take Zoloft for a few months to a year and then gradually wean themselves off the medication entirely under the supervision of their doctors.

It is not known what the effects of Zoloft are on a growing fetus, therefore you must advise your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Zoloft. Your doctor may feel that you should stay on the Zoloft but you will be closely monitored for any problems. If you miss your dose of Zoloft, you should try and take it as soon as you remember. However, if you are ready to take your next scheduled dose, do not double up on this medication. Simply skip the missed dose and resume your schedule.
