Pill Colors

Pill colors vary depending on what supplement you fill them with. Every chemical substance has its own unique appearance and color, so if you use clear capsules, your finished product will be the color of the supplement you use. One way to add variety to your supplements is through colored pill shells.

Colored capsules are one of the simplest and most effective ways to differentiate your products. Human beings are very visual animals, with over 25 percent of the brain devoted exclusively to processing visual stimuli. If you can appeal to a customer's eye, you're well on your way to earning a customer for life. Pills are available in green, blue, red, and yellow just to list a few.

Pretty Pills Are Consumed Pills

Providing colored pills to your customers may not seem like a big deal, but research shows that it is extremely important to your potential success. Visually appealing pills are one of the surest ways to get children to agree to take supplements willingly. If they like what they see, they are much more inclined to take it. As a humorous example, this is partially why children are often found eating crayons. In a child's mind, pretty colors equal something good.

Sometimes colored pills are more than just tinted versions of standard clear capsules. Sometimes they are flavored too. Flavored pills have the same effect colored ones do, increasing the odds that people of all ages will take their supplements on a consistent basis. Some of the common flavors are orange, mint, grape, and strawberry.
