Earl Nightingale was born during the depression and grew up searching for answers. His desire for knowledge drove him to search for a way to fulfill his need to make the most of his life to benefit not only himself, but others as well. He started his adult life as a marine. He learned valuable lessons about life during his time in the marines and the attack on Pearl Harbor.

He later began a daily radio program. This started his successful business ventures. He not only hosted his own program, he also entered the realm of advertising. He had such financial success that he was able to retire at the age of thirty-five. He owned an insurance company and through his efforts and training, was able to motivate the sales staff to great success.

Earl Nightingale made a recording of his motivational methods and success strategies. This recording was the first spoken word message to sell over a million copies. He had taken what he had learned in pursuit of his childhood dream and shared it with others to give them the key to changing their financial status to success.

Earl Nightingale joined with Lloyd Conant in 1960, and together they made their mark on the self-improvement field. They published self-improvement audio tapes that currently offers more than 150 motivational speakers, business authors, and personal skill development instructors. The contribution of the Nightingale-Conant effort is changing lives by the thousands every year.
